Harnessing the power of the ?

After working with more than a dozen different public radio program hosts, I have developed expertise in the art and science of the interview.  In addition to my regular professional work, I continue to make myself available to persons and institutions interested in cultivating meaningful conversations in the service of increased knowledge.

Quite simply, I believe in reclaiming the question mark as the most powerful intellectual and professional tool at our disposal.  And I work with people to return to the basics: employing true curiosity and open-mindedness, strategically and effectively.

Most of my work has been in radio.  I have partnered with on-air talent, production staffs, and stations to improve their interviewing techniques and program quality.  However, my approach is also useful for people in other fields: academics conducting interviews as part of their research, documentary filmmakers making every frame matter, and organizations planning public events.
